Roland Baumann, President, British Columbia Cattlemen's Association
Roland is a cow/calf rancher from Vanderhoof, B.C. He is also the Director for the Canadian Beef Export Federation.

Dr. Terry Lake, Parliamentary Secretary for the Ranching Task Force and MLA Kamloops-North Thompson
Dr. Terry Lake was appointed Parliamentary Secretary for the Ranching Task Force to the Minister of Agriculture and Lands after being elected MLA for Kamloops-North Thompson on May 12, 2009. Dr. Lake is a veterinarian by profession. He served as the Mayor of the City of Kamloops from 2005-2008 and as a city councillor from 2002-2005. He is a recipient of the B.C. Veterinary Medical Association Award of Merit for service to the profession and has served as Vice President of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association as well as Vice President of the Union of B.C. Municipalities.

Ed Salle, Past President, British Columbia Cattlemen's Association
Ed is a cow/calf rancher from Barriere and the Vice President of the B.C. Livestock Producer Cooperative Association.

Judy Guichon, Vice President, British Columbia Cattleman's Association
Judy is a cow/yearling rancher in the Nicola Valley and the Director of the Grassland Conservation Council.

Bill Freding – President, British Columbia Association of Cattle Feeders
Bill was raised on a small cattle ranch near Princeton, B.C. After graduating from UBC in 1972 with a Master Of Science Degree (Ag Economics) he migrated to the Cariboo-Chilcotin where he operated several different ranches. He currently operates Southern Plus Feedlots near Oliver B.C., the largest feedlot in the province. In addition he has held the following industry positions: Director of B.C. Cattlemen’s Association, 22 years; Founding Board Member of Investment Agriculture Foundation, 6 years; Board Member of Cattle industry Development Council, 7 years and President of Ownership Identification Inc., 3 years.

Karen Kochel, President, B.C. Breeders and Feeders Association (BCBFA)
Karen ranches in the Vanderhoof area with her husband John.  The Kochel ranch consists of 5000 deeded acres which produces the feed and pasture for 700 cow/calf pairs, as well as backgrounding calves. She previously served as director of BCBFA and the Nechako Valley Regional Cattlemen’s Association director and vice president. 

Andy Dolberg, Executive Director, British Columbia Agriculture Council
Andy Dolberg, formerly of the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, now heads the B.C. Agriculture Council. The association advocates for the collective interests of farmers and ranchers from across the province.  He has been active in his family’s farm in Manitoba, has both an agriculture degree and Masters of Natural Resources Management, and has spent most of his career working for farm organizations in both Ottawa and B.C.

Robin Smith, President, British Columbia Food Processors Association
Robin has 40 years experience in a range of sectors including dairy, pet food, meat, poultry and seafood. He has also been involved in diverse areas of the industry, such as processing, consulting, marketing, operations, general management and education. Previously he worked as Chairman/CEO of NuFood Pet Inc., General Manager of integrated poultry processor in Cairo, Egypt, Managing Director of Protein Foods in Jordan, President of Protein Foods International, President of Foodwest Resources Ltd, National Manager of Price Waterhouse, Manager of Technical Services at Panco Poultry, and Manager of B.C. Packers and Star Kist Foods.

Ella Brown, Independent Rural Representative
Ella is the past Mayor for Logan Lake where she served for 6 years. During her term she also served as Small Community Representative on UBCM for two terms. She has lived and raised her family in small rural communities. She has served on additional committees including, B.C. Healthy Communities, Thompson Okanagan Regional District, Age Friendly Communities, and Thompson Okanagan Interface Committee.

Larry Pedersen, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Agriculture and Lands
Larry Pedersen is a lifetime resident of B.C. and has lived and worked in many regions of the Province over the last 33 years of his career. He has a B. Sc. in Forestry and has worked in a variety of positions in government and the private sector. From 1994 to 2004, Larry held the position of Chief Forester of the Province. This position gave him a strong background in public administration. Larry has developed strong interests in sustainability and has a healthy respect for managing to the triple bottom line of economic, social and environmental interests. In 2005 he was given the Distinguished Forester's award by the Association of B.C. Forest Professionals. In June 2005, Larry was appointed Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands.

Dana Hayden, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Forests and Range
Dana Hayden was appointed to her current position on June 1, 2009. Ms. Hayden began her career in government in 1986 as an economist in the Ministry of Forests and has worked on public policy and operational challenges across a broad range of ministries, crown agencies and in government’s central agencies. In 2008, she was Deputy Minister and Vice Chair of the Working Roundtable on Forestry. Ms. Hayden has held a number of executive roles in government such as Deputy Minister of Public Safety; interim President and CEO of the British Columbia Lottery Corporation; Deputy Minister of Strategic Policy, Office of the Premier; Deputy Minister and CEO of the Crown Agencies Secretariat; Assistant Deputy Minister of Corporate Services for several government organizations; Vice President Policy and Planning, Forest Renewal B.C.; and Assistant Deputy Minister International Trade. Ms. Hayden has a B.Sc. in Forest Science, a M.Sc. in Economics and the Canadian Securities Course diploma.
